Courtney has spent most of her career leading teams and building businesses, but Borrowed Moments gave her the chance to create something of her own — something practical, personal, and rooted in the community around it.
She’s usually somewhere between dreaming up the next idea, building a spreadsheet for it, and convincing Michael that yes, there is a plan. 😆

Co-founder, steady hand, problem-solver, and the person who somehow makes Courtney’s growing list of ideas feel completely possible.
Michael is an educator, lifelong learner, and natural supporter who brings practicality, patience, and a very different perspective to Borrowed Moments. He’s the guy willing to haul totes, troubleshoot the technology, build the system, ask the smart question — and then help figure out how to make the idea actually work.
Why we Founded Borrowed Moments co.
Borrowed Moments started much more simply than all of this.
We already owned a garage full of heavy-duty totes, were planning our wedding, and started wondering whether those totes could earn a little extra income instead of sitting unused. The idea was practical: create something useful for our community while helping fund a season of life that mattered deeply to us.
Then we started building.
One rental idea turned into conversations, partnerships, new collections, resources, a community for other business owners — and a much bigger vision for what Borrowed Moments could become.
What began as a way to make moving a little easier has grown into something we hope can make many kinds of moments easier: moves, events, business ownership, community connection, and whatever comes next.
We’re still building it together — thoughtfully, one useful idea at a time.
